The 28th China International Glass Industrial Technical Exhibition was opened in “Beijing China International Exhibition Center” on May 24th, 2017. A total of 995 manufacturers and companies from 33 different countries and regions in the world participated in this four-day glass exhibition which was the largest in Asia. This exhibition covered all the 8 exhibiting halls in the Beijing China International Exhibition Center and occupied 106800 m2 of exhibiting area. It attracted over 30000 professional visitors from 71 different countries and regions in the world for paying visitation and carrying on purchasing and trade discussion. The foreign visitors exceeded 3000 person-times and the number of exhibitors and visitors were more than all the previous exhibitions.
By adhering to the concept of "specialization, internationalization and scale development" the exhibition all-directionally demonstrated scientific, technical and innovational achievements in global glass industry and offered an authoritative and/or professional demonstration and an interchange platform for whole industry chain of domestic and foreign manufacturers and companies that covered all glass production fields including glass production and processing techniques, machinery and glass products, abrasive materials and tools, etc. In the international exhibiting area a total of 75 exhibitors from Germany, Italy, and the U.S., etc. demonstrated in the form of national league. During the exhibition the “Forum on new techniques and their application for architecture and glass” sponsored by Chinese Ceramic Society and Chinese Architectural Society was held simultaneously. The participants had a warm discuss and deep communication on the hot topics, such as intellectualization of architectural and glass industry, energy conservation and emission reduction, and green growth, etc. At the exhibition there were 10 seminars and new products promotion activities, including Germany Industry 4.0, new techniques for fire proof glass, fully tempered vacuum glass production, thermal oxy-fuel combustion technology for glass bottle production, new trend of glass decoration art, and laser cutting technique in glass deep-processing, etc.
